Christmas already
OK I'm starting to like and I said LIKE not love Christmas...but mostly cause I enjoy decorating for it! But anyway I feel that each holiday should have its turn and one holiday is getting the big pass over. Thanksgiving!!! I just drove down my street to see that at least 4 houses in my neighborhood have up their lights..WTH!! Come on now people cant you wait a TINY bit? Like the day after Thanksgiving to get all of your Christmas crap out? I then went to my moms this weekend and lo and behold Its not just my neighborhood that is jumping the gun! A good family friend of ours has vomited her Christmas lights up all over the place..And I guess the house down the street from her is competing on who can have up their stuff first because they have out like 5 trees. I mean to each his own but really come on....I haven't even started getting Christmas gifts yet. Nor can I get in the mood to get them. I really cant wait for it to be over. But I am excited to decorate the house....go figure.

Thanksgiving totally gets overshadowed. It's like the redheaded step-kid of holidays. Too bad. I'm waiting until after Thanksgiving for sure.
ReplyDeleteOh, my dear friends. Not all of us have family close by and have to travel far away for Thanksgiving. So, I either have to put up my stuff the weekend before Thanksgiving or bust my ass to put everything up the weekend after and only have it up for less than a month. I guess we all have the things that bug us, like one for me is when people put up Halloween lights... that to me is a "WTH" moment. ;)
