Sprinklers Wars

This morning I "thought" all would be great and dandy but alas no. We have yet to get our sprinklers going and yes I know its JULY! When Chris and I moved in together we made an agreement that I would take care of the inside while he took care of the outside. We moved in, in the middle of the winter...so he pretty much only had to shovel the drive way. While all winter long I cleaned the house, did laundry, made sure bills were paid....ya know kept up with my half of the bargain. So summer comes and low and behold Chris whined the whole summer about how hot it was, how hard it was to work in the yard, how tired he was....blah blah ya know pretty much DIDN'T keep up with his end of the bargain.
So this summer I said I would help as long as he started helping me around the house. Which he has but still with they eye rolls and loud sighs, that seriously almost drive me over the edge. I don't know why I let it get to me...if anyone of my friends told me that before I met Chris I would have said " Oh geeze so what he rolls his eyes big deal, let it go." Now after living with someone that does that, I now know that its easier said than done. But any way I digress....So last winter I come out of my house and hear sprinklers on. I thought to my self what dumbass has on their sprinklers in the middle of winter. Well we were the lucky dumbass. Chris "forgot" to winterize the sprinklers and to shut the water off to them so when we had a power outage the night before it reset the timer and they turned on...DUMB!!! Well now we are paying for it. I had a guy (that I used to go to high school with no less...and he didn't remember who I was.....awkward) come and look at the sprinklers he gave me an estimate of $160 which I was happy with. Well this morning when I went out to talk to him he told me that 3 of the heads had cracks in them. They needed to be replaced and they were $25 a head...OK not too bad. But they take an hour each to replace. OK still not too bad more than I wanted to spend on stupid sprinklers but OK as long as they are on and I don't have to keep going out and putting the hose some where I'm fine with it. I call Chris and he wants to do it him self..............YIKES!!! I'm still waiting around for him to do some things he promised me he would do last FALL! But he wants to save the $100 in labor. I'm so irritated with him right now. I wish he would be more of a "OK lets get this done and over with guy" instead of "Ill do that later" guy. When he tells me that.....seriously well lets just say I have dark thoughts..... So now I have paid $160 and my sprinklers are still not fixed and it will be yet another "awesome" week of me taking the hose around from place to place to get it watered. Can you say ANNOYED!!!

  1. LOL! Who didn't remember you? And,
i feel your pain. I live the whole not getting the honey do list done every day! I have to resort to paying for things to get done around here too. Sucks.
