Oooops!

It seems that I have stopped blogging when I run out of challenges for myself...So I take it that I will need to be a little more creative with my self in order to keep my little blog going....my little blog of 2 people that read..haha! Any way...this is my thought I will take a picture of Spring time..it can be anything really flowers, the grass showing signs of life. My new shirt I decided to get for summer, even though most of my wardrobe is the same colors, grey and black. It just goes from long sleeve to short sleeve in the summer months, but its still new to me and springing for me too. Now I don't want you guys to think that I came up with this all on my own cause I didn't....I got it from Krystn and she in turn got if from this blog. So we both stole it...hahaha. I just added my own spin on it so that it will get me motivated to blog again... So here are my photos for today and no I didn't take the pictures, yes I did steal them from Spunkyphoto aka Krystn. But they are pictures of me and my family and its almost spring and I just thought of this a few minutes ago so, here they are. Our family pictures..oh and btw it only took an act of God to get these things taken. But I love how they turned out.

Gma & Gpa...when I first saw this picture it made me teary eyed...I don't know exactly why but I just love this picture. Maybe its cause I know they wont be here forever and I think this picture captures them and their story, old and a little worn but still the loves of each others lives.

What to blog

So maybe I had a little too much fun on St. Patty's day.....cause today I'm in no mood to list a top 10 love list. But on the bright side that is OK...Cause I'm pretty sure the 30 days is up. So I did complete it like I wanted, and I still want to go through and list a few more people from my family...just not today. I hope that everyone had a great, fun, but safe St. Patrick's day.......Just like I did...maybe a little too much fun.....I need some Tylenol.

Third time is a charm at getting both of us in the picture...geeze! Not that this is a flattering on of him! yikes lol love you honey!

You know I really LOVE me some St. Pattricks day. So instead of doing another family love I think I will do it on what I love about this day! Its such a fun day....well I think.



 What I love about St. Pattys Day.....

1. I love how everyone wears geen.

2. I love that the people who dont wear green get pinched.

3. That my sister and I get together with our husbands and friends and go to Bostons each year. We get the beer from there...and omg its soo good. Normally im not a huge beer drinker but Bostons bear is very good and they make it green for St. Pattys day.

4. There is something about the Irish that I like. I havent found it yet...but im pretty sure we have Irish some where in our blood line....I mean come on where else would I get is fair skin and all these freckles from?

5. Its just a fun little Holiday thats not a huge deal you dont have to buy anything for it. Its just something different and fun.

6. The parades that they do. They are fun to watch and people get all dressed up.

7. It reminds me of my trip to Ireland...If you ever get a chance to go.....DO!!! Its one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, not to mention greenest. It really is a beautiful place.



8. The t-shirts with their clever sayings like "kiss me im Irish" or "Lady Luck" stuff like that.

9. Green is flattering color on me and brings out the green in my eyes.

10. Everyone is drunk and happy by the end of the day!

Mom

So here is the post that I was going to do about my mom yesterday but instead did the random ones. I love my mom...yes she can be overbearing at times. And yes sometimes we need a little break. But I can always count on this lady if I need her. And I have needed her. So here it is.....

What I LOVE about my mother.

1. HOW hilarious she is...she is silly with everyone. And I do mean everyone. And she has a unique sense of humor. She lost her mom before I was ever born. But she will joke about how her mom is dead and buried so she doesn't have to listen to you. She sees the humor in a lot of different things and I love that about this woman.

I noticed after I put this up it was a pic I had edited haha.Below is the real photo lol... I mean can you belive how large my sisters and moms noses are??

2. How devoted she is to her kids. And take it from me she is devoted. Before I had gotten into my car accident in Vegas. She and I had gotten into a fight the night before. I remember after waking up one of the first things I saw was my mom. I cant tell you how relived, happy, and at peace I was when I saw her. As soon as I did I knew I didn't have to worry about another thing she would take care of all of it. And she did. And it didn't matter that we had been fighting. I needed her and she was gonna be there come hell or high water.

3. What a good Grandma she is...I tell her all the time she is a way better Grandma than she was a mother. And what I mean by that is she is soo much more patient. Things aren't as important as they were when we were young. It doesn't matter if they are dirty, or someone is throwing a tantrum. She is patient with them and helps them along. I really don't think my sisters know how good they have it with my mom.

4. That she likes to hang out with me. And trusts my opinion about things. She will always ask me to go shopping with her. Or go and help pick out new glasses. Its nice to spend time with her especially since I like funny people...and she is funny.

5. That even though she complains about my dad (which would be one of my dislikes) she loves him very much. And you can tell more so by her actions. She is always thinking about something he may like or making sure he has dinner when he gets home. They still cuddle on the couch and kiss in front of us kids. Its nice to see that even with all of their ups and downs they still love each other after all this time.

6. How selfless and thoughtful she is...which i think my sister Cristy gets this trait from her. She is always thinking about someone else's needs before her own. I know that is the true meaning of the word mother "sacrifice." And she does it all the time...not just with her kids, grand kids, and husband but others as well.

7. Fair...that is one thing my mother is to a fault is fair..whether it be with money, time, work. She is fair about it. And always has been.

8. How friendly she is...all of my friends love my mom and she makes them feel welcome and at home. I love it when you find people out there that can make you feel at ease and comfortable. And my mom is one of them I think.

9. I admire how well she does with money and I wish that was a trait of hers that I could get down. I know most of it is discipline and I have very little. But my mother has always tried to instill this in me and help me better with money. I just wish I was. 

10. I love that she taught me to stick up for myself and if you see something you don't like you should voice your opinion. Root for the underdog. Don't let mean people tell you what to do. Help out others that need your help...In all she taught me to be a good person and to treat others with the kind of kindness and respect that I would want to be treated with.

Sick day!

So I was ill yesterday and I will spare you all the details of me spending my morning trying to hold down the puke and other fun stuff that happens when you are sick. I really do loath being sick though. So today I feel better and instead of doing an I love post about my mother like I was going to, I will do this as a list of random ones. The mom post can wait another day! So on with it is my list of I loves.....

1. I love that I feel 90% better than I did yesterday! Thank god!

2. I love the the gross text that i sent my husband about my stool being runny went to a close friend of mine and NOT to the guy at work that I text about me not coming in to work that day...Still wondering why my phone did that.

3. That I have decided to do something pro-active. I am starting this and I cant wait. I am always paranoid that when something bad happens I wont be prepared...Well hopefully this training will prepare me more.

4. That  I wrote my letter to Congressman Bishop in order to be able to get a tour of the white house. I'm so excited about this trip to Virgina...it should be fun especially with all of my sisters and mom going.

5. That the stupid time change hasn't effected me as much as my poor hubby. He is having a hard time with it.

6.That when I got to work today my desk wasn't just a huge pile of papers and a big mess like normal. Someone actually took the time to organize it into one pile. Thank you who ever you are.

7. That when I "thought" that I saw a mouse at our house and I had my husband pull out all of the appliances to make sure of no mouse poop...there was none...THANK YOU! I'm still unsure of if we do have a mouse but I'm crossing my fingers that this is a big NO!!!

8. That I was able to catch up on a lot of my programs when I was home sick.

9. That my hubby made dinner for me last night. Which only involved him getting pizza but still thanks honey!

10. That this Saturday is the scrap booking class and I'm hoping that I'm a little faster than I have been cause seriously I am SSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWW.

Shay

Shay is my youngest sister. She is a fiery red head. And everything you have heard about red heads and having a fiery temper is true. When we were younger she would have these rambling tantrums and go on and on and on and on......well you get the point. But what is funny is now she is a mother and her son could be her twin only in boy form. This kid is a terror but can also be sweet and cuddly at times too..go figure. My sister also struggled with drug addiction. But has come great lengths to overcome that part of her life... SO here it is what I love about this crazy fiery red head..

What I love about my sister Shay......

1. She is loyal to a fault...it doesn't matter if you live in a palace or live on the streets if you are her friend...YOU ARE HER FRIEND! And she will stick by you through thick and thin.

2. I was in aw of how good she looked after she found out she was pregnant. I had left her in Vegas after coming home to stay. It had been a few months and I would get the phone call from Lindsey telling me about my sister and her horrible choices that she was making. I was so angry with her...The way my parents were aging worrying constantly about her. So when I went down to Vegas for a visit. I decided to stop by and see her. By this time she had moved out of her boyfriends home and was living on her own. She had to take the bus to and from work because of one of her other "horrible choices." But she was doing it.... So I called her on the phone to get directions. I was close but unsure of what apartment building she was in. I told her where I was at and she said well I will go and stand outside. That is when she told me that she thought she maybe pregnant..I asked if she had told mom. No. well are you going to tell her. Yes. When? When I know for sure. That's when I spotted her.....AND the huge belly that she had. Its also when I said...Uhmm you "THINK" you "MIGHT" be pregnant? I'm no doctor but I'm gonna go ahead and tell you.....your pregnant. She laughed....and I could tell by the laugh that she had been very nervous about what I would say...Seeing her I knew she would be a good mother. She had quite EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING!!!! No caffeine, smoking quit it cold turkey, no alcohol, she was making sure that this kid had a fighting chance...I was so proud of her.

3. That she gives everyone a nick name...I have said before that mine is "poodle" who knows why she calls me that. Cristy's is "Teener" which I think is funny. But she loves to call people by the nick name that she has given them.

4. How much fun she can be to be around. I enjoy it when all of my sisters and I are around each other. I don't know how to explain it but its almost like I crave that feeling and when one of us isn't there all of us feel it. It feels like a hole.

5. How funny she is...we took a girls trip down to Mesquite to get Greydon her son from his dad. While we were headed down we decided to pull over at a stop and get something to eat. We were past Provo and unfamiliar with things. My mom was driving and asking for directions. I remember Shay (the only one that was familiar with where we were at) said "Mom get over." My mother already frazzled said get over where? Shay: Get over, but now pointing to the right. My mother couldn't see where she was pointing. Again my mom said Get over where? Shay. get over. Finally Cristy said to the right she is pointing to the right. Cars are flying past us as we try to make it to the exit. When my mother starts in "Get over whats that suppose to mean I cant see where you are pointing." And Shay pipes off with " Get over means get the Fruck over" My sisters and I explode into laughter...it eased the tension in the car but we laughed about it all the way to mesquite and back.

6. How talented she is in sports...she runs like she hasn't a care in the world and she craves the competition of sports. I have never liked them and wished that I could love them as much as my sisters. Maybe then I would be 500lbs and think of running as corporal punishment. But she loves it and is awesome at it.

7. Her hair out of all of us girls hers is the thickest, and its the color red that I wish mine had stayed..When she straightens it, its beautiful she looks like a different person.

8. How kind she is...when she is angry she is scary. But she is one of the kindest people that I know. She will always rout for the under dog. And she doesn't care much for mean people. And she will let you know if she thinks you are being mean.

9. If it has been a few days since I have talked to her. I will get a phone call and we will just talk and see how each other are doing. She likes to hear gossip...doesn't like to be involved in it. But I love that she will call to see how her big sissy is doing.

10.She is a wonderful mother. She loves her little demon to death.

Crusty

Today my LOVE spotlight will be on my sissy Cristy...She and I have gotten a lot closer over the last year and its been nice. She has taught me to scrapbook and a few other things about being crafty and it has inspired me to start being a little more creative with things. I have her to thank. We call her Crusty brownstain (well OK I call her that haha) But last year while she was at her sons baseball practice getting to know the parents they went around and were telling each other their names. When they got to my sister she said my name is Cristy Storey.....and no sooner had she said that when her daughter Roo said "She also likes to go by Crusty Brownstain." She said she just kinda stood there looking at all the parents and then quickly said "Uhmm no I don't." And then had to explain that it was something her sister called her joking around. HAHAHA kids they are so honest. Well here are some of the reasons that I love this girl.

What I love about my sister Cristy.....

1. She is a hard worker....and I mean damn hard worker...she will work from sun up to sun down if she needed to she gets this from my dad. But I admire that she can do it. If I have more than one job i turn into Debbie downer and bitchy Mc bictherson... She can handle and I am in awh of just how hard she works.

2. She is an awesome mother each one of my sisters and my bro are so different in their parenting. She is more of a hands on mom..She makes time for soccer games, baseball, dance, football, and volleyball. She makes time to go to everything that her kids are in and she is very involved with them.

3. She isn't as quick witted as the rest of me and my sisters but when she does say or do something its funny. And she will laugh about it forever...and I do mean forever. She pulled a joke on me and wouldn't shut up about it for days...haha

4. She is always the first one to offer to help. All of my sisters are eager to help out but she is always the first one to either ask if you need it or offer helping even if you haven't asked her. She can just tell and even with her hectic and busy schedule she will make time for you.

5. This is my favorite thing about her...but she is the sister that if your fired up about something and you need to vent...call her she will get just as fired up about it as you are..She will listen and she only will take your side. She was the one that I called the most during my wedding planning year...she was my savor in many ways but especially if something was bugging me. I could count on her to listen and take my side..And sometimes all a girl needs is to know is someone else thinks she is right too!

6. Her hair and skin she has beautiful long blond hair, unfortunately she always wears it in a pony tail but it is gorges. And she is the only one that has pretty skin that will tan in the sun...So pretty I have always envied that she could go in the sun and tan and her skin was just beautiful. I keep trying to tell everyone that being speckled is the new tan...but no one is buying it....not even me.

7. She is also very outspoken she will tell it like it is and she has no problem letting you know if you have crossed the line...especially if it comes to her kids or sisters.

8. How thoughtful she is...she thinks of nice things to do for others and does it. She once took all of my nieces and nephews and got their pictures take for their parents. And this year she had the two youngest kids make and decorate cakes for their parents took a picture of the kids holding it was just a nice gesture to do for Valentines day for Shay and Chanse to get a Valentine from their kids. And she is always thinking and doing things for other people.

9. How easy she gets along with kids...She loves babies she loves the stage how dependant they are on you she loves everything about it. KC and Grey my two youngest nephews love going with here and staying at Aunt chich chi's house. She really does want to have more kids and Its so cute to see her with the boys she is really good with them.

10. And as promised how devoted she is to her family I know if I needed her she would be right there willing to help me with anything she could. She is totally a family first and everything else second person and I just love that about her.
